Napthens ranks top tier in Legal 500

Leading North West law firm Napthens has received accolades across the board in the latest Legal 500 rankings. The annual guide is based on reviews of client work across the last year.

The Corporate and Commercial, Real Estate, Agriculture and Litigation teams have all been ranked in the top tier in the latest edition, whilst elsewhere in the guide the firm’s Licensing, Business Recovery and Contentious Probate teams have been highly ranked in the North West.

Across the teams, commercial litigation partner John Whittingslow has been praised as being a Leading Individual and litigation partner Andrew Holden highlighted as Next Generation Partner. Clients offered their praise to the team for being “professional through and through. Supportive and understanding. Straight-talking, approachable.”

In corporate, there were mentions for ‘Leading Individuals’ Keith Melling, Jon Esner and, in Liverpool, Kieran Donovan. David Carr was also cited as ‘Rising Star’. The team were praised for being ‘highly specialised’.

Head of rural Andrew Holden also received acknowledgement as a Leading Individual in the Agriculture and Estates category, with rural solicitor James Stocker noted as Rising Star. Clients praised the team for offering a ‘friendly, efficient and knowledgeable service.’

Elsewhere on the corporate side, Napthens’ Business Recovery team ranked with positive mentions for “highly intelligent and commercially aware” department head, Grahame Love.

In private client, the Napthens Contentious Probate team was also ranked. The team is lead by ‘talented litigator’, Nicola Turner who was cited by clients as “not afraid to give direct advice and she never sits on the fence.”
