What’s happening in the East Lancs property market?

Napthens - August 25th 2016

East Lancashire is home to a series of large and small towns and plentiful villages; offering a wealth of property options. From traditional stone built terraces, to sprawling country homes, agricultural land to multi-million pound purpose built business parks.

Focusing on the latter, the Burnley Bridge Business Park, located adjacent to Junction 9 of the M65 is a 70 acre development site and is the largest new commercial development on the M65 corridor in 10 years. The former brownfield site has benefitted from ERDF funding and has seen infrastructure improvements, including a bridge and access road across the Leeds-Liverpool canal to provide direct motorway access. The scheme is already home to a range of occupiers, with the most recent being completion of a 543,620 sq. ft. unit for a national technology distribution centre.  The ongoing development of this strategic site is expected to create in excess of 1000 sustainable jobs, with huge economic benefits for the East Lancashire region.

The East Lancashire region, with its enviable location and comparatively low housing prices makes for an attractive place to live. With its rich heritage, transport links and emergent developments, East Lancashire is offering an exciting opportunity for growing businesses.
