Royal wedding extension to hours - 18 & 19 May 2018

Further to our earlier e-update regarding the extension to licensing hours to celebrate the royal wedding, which can be seen here, we have now received confirmation that Parliament has approved the draft Order.

In summary, The Licensing Act 2003 (Royal Wedding Licensing Hours) Order 2018 allows licensed premises to provide licensable activities for an extra two hours on Friday 18^th and Saturday 19^th May 2018 from 23.00 to 01.00 the following day. This applies to licensed premises within England and Wales.

Premises that do not benefit from this Order can apply for a Temporary Event Notice, but this should be done urgently due to time scales.
