Robert specialises in company and business acquisitions and disposals, usually for companies with a turnover of at least £5m.
He has experience in advising on management buyouts and company reorganisations, especially when dealing with venture capitalists and alternative funding arrangements.
Robert regularly advises banks and other funders providing acquisition finance, advising lender’s on security documentation.

Recent deals include:
- Heading the team advising JD Sports Fashion Plc on its acquisition of Leisure Lakes for an undisclosed sum
- Advising long-standing client W.H Bowker Group Ltd on its acquisition of the James Nuttall Group of Companies
- Advising the shareholders of Rinus Roofing Ltd on the sale to Burton Roofing Merchants Ltd, a subsidiary of the CUPA Group
- Advising Tarncourt Group and its shareholders, on the reverse takeover of Barkby Group Plc, the AIM listed property and leisure group
