Legal DirectorRachel Atherton is a legal director within the commercial team, based in the firm's Preston office.
Rachel advises clients on a wide range of general commercial matters including commercial agreements and regulatory matters with a particular focus on data protection and the GDPR.
Her approach is both practical and highly commercial, using experience gained in-house at a multi national travel company, where she advised the business on commercial agreements and relationships and led General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance for the group.
Rachel is recommended in the latest rankings of the industry bible, The Legal 500.
Experience
Rachel advises on a wide variety of commercial agreements including terms and conditions for the sale and purchase of goods and services, outsourcing arrangements, IT related contracts, privacy notices, marketing consents and data processing agreements.
She has particular experience of the travel and tourism industry and the financial services sector.
