Phil is Technology Director for Napthens, heading up the technology function based out of Preston ensuring that the team are working effectively to provide support & delivery of value-add services to the business as required. Phil works across the firm alongside Partners and Senior Management, to support growth and innovation through strategic technical solutions.

Phil has a strong technical background alongside a history of successful solution delivery, surpassing client expectation and adding value through innovation.

His main strengths lie in building strong customer relationships and the ability to produce results within pressured situations whilst maintaining attention to detail.

Background

Phil joined Napthens in September 2020 at IT Director after a period of providing Interim IT Management services.

His career in IT began as a Graduate Technical Engineer, where Phil was part of a team responsible for providing IT support to a Utilities Service Provider specialising in Networking and Phone System Management.

He then moved into a role of Infrastructure Project Manager within the same organisation due to his knowledge of the environment.

Phil then moved to an IT Service Provider as a Senior Project Manager before moving to GB3 as Head of Systems, where he ran the Professional Services arm of the business, looking after a team of Project Managers and Technical Engineers, as well as taking the lead on GB3’s ongoing ISO27001 Information Security Framework alongside providing support to business through Interim Head of IT services and Strategic Reviews.

Phil completed his studies in 2007 attaining a BSc (Hons) Degree in Business Information Technology (UCLAN)
