A member of our commercial property team based in Preston, partner Martin Beardsworth acts for a broad range of clients, advising on matters including the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, bank security and refinance work. He also advises on all aspects of commercial landlord and tenant issues.
Martin has particular experience and expertise in the setup of residential developments for property developers, commercial leasing, property finance and the purchase of properties out of insolvency. He acts for a broad client base, with an emphasis on acting for owner-managed businesses and SMEs. Martin provides clear, practical advice to his clients to enable them to get the job done.
Martin is recommended by the legal industry guide 'The Legal 500'. He started his career in Manchester as a criminal lawyer, joining Cuddy Woods & Cochrane in 2002 and was made a partner in 2003. Educated at Baines Grammar School and Blackpool Sixth Form College, Martin read law at Manchester University and completed his professional qualifications at the College of Law in York. He moved back to the Fylde in 2002 where he now lives with his family.

How do you like to relax out of work?
I am a keen sportsman, and a former County badminton player. In my spare time I enjoy playing tennis, training at my local gym and spending time with my family.
