Martin Beardsworth

Martin heads up our Preston commercial property team and is the driving force behind the further development and implementation of our Preston commercial property offering.

Recommended in legal industry guide ‘The Legal 500’ he is pragmatic and commercial in his approach and has a wide range of experience in retail real estate and in real estate residential development work. He is the lead partner for some of our largest clients such as supermarket chain E. H. Booth & Co and national retailer Bodycare.  He is heavily committed to his team forming close relationships with our clients to become “more than just their solicitor” and to become their trusted advisers.

Specialisms

Martin has particular experience and expertise in the setup of residential developments for property developers, commercial leasing, property finance and the purchase of properties out of insolvency. He acts for a broad client base, with an emphasis on acting for owner-managed businesses and SMEs.

Background

Martin started his career in Manchester and joined Cuddy Woods & Cochrane in 2002, becoming partner in 2003. Martin read law at Manchester University and completed his professional qualifications at the College of Law in York. He lives on the Fylde with his family.
