Julie is a Trainee Solicitor in our East Lancashire office in Blackburn. Currently working within our litigation team, Julie is experienced in advising clients on employment law.
As a Trainee Julie is gaining experience across a variety of legal fields. She is also an employment law expert with particular expertise in retail, care, local authorities, construction, manufacturing, IT, recycling, automotive, breweries and education. She is experienced in contentious and non-contentious work and has represented both claimants and respondents. She is also experienced in insolvency, Inquests, mediation. Julie is also a member of Napthens' GDPR team.
Julie is a regular speaker at high profile regional events as well as previously being a guest speaker at The Liverpool Women’s Conference and Liverpool John Moore’s University. She also delivers training and seminars on a variety of employment law issues.
Julie joined Napthens in 2016 from her previous role as a dedicated in house advocate, specialising in employment issues. In this role Julie managed her own case load from inception through to conclusion including full merit hearings, CCMCs, PAD’s, CICA’s and interim applications in the Employment Tribunal and County Court. Julie qualified with a 2:1 in Law LLB(Hons) in 2011, followed by the completion of her BPTC at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2013. She became a Trainee Solicitor in 2018.

How do you like to relax out of work?
I teach CEROC and SILC and compete in various dance competitions nationwide.

I have worked with children with severe and profound learning difficulties for over 9 years
