Jamie is Head of Cumbria and of Napthens’ Real Estate group. In this dual role he is responsible for the development and implementation of Napthens’ Cumbrian strategic plan and manages the commercial property, construction, rural and leisure & licensing departments.
A highly experienced lawyer, Jamie has acted for many clients in the construction, licensed and brewing community, commercial and residential property investment, telecoms and manufacturing sectors. Recommended in the 2020 'Legal 500', Jamie has strong relationships with corporate finance advisers, banks, fund managers and various private equity houses. He has a high profile within the regional business community and is committed to ensuring business stays in this part of the country for the benefit of the whole community. He is on the Board of Marketing Lancashire and of Kendal Futures and is a regular supporter of local charities.
Jamie joined Napthens in 2008 from Manchester law firm Pannone LLP, where he was a partner and Head of Entrepreneurial Services. At Pannone he was shortlisted as ‘Assistant Solicitor of the Year’ in ‘The Lawyer Awards’ in London, and was one of the youngest partners in the firm’s history. His department was recognised as an ‘innovative provider of legal services’ by The Financial Times, and he has instilled this same ethos to his role at Napthens.
Jamie is passionate about his roots and the Lancashire and Cumbrian marketplace and is committed to ensuring that business stays in these parts of the country for the benefit of the local community. He regularly supports local charities and he gives his free time up in various appointments to schools and other organisations.
