Farhan is an associate solicitor based in our Commercial Property team at Preston, having gained experience as a trainee with Napthens. He deals with a broad range of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, asset management, development and commercial refinancing. Farhan provides clear, practical advice to his clients which include corporate occupiers, investors, lenders and developers right through to start-ups and SME’s.


Farhan advises clients on a range of matters including land acquisitions and disposals, SIPP/SSAS investments, portfolio management and refinancing. He acts on behalf of clients operating in a range of sectors from developers in residential housing to occupiers in the retail sector.  He also has a particular focus on development work, working closely with housebuilders in delivering sites from securing strategic land options and funding through to executing infrastructure agreements and set up.


Farhan joined Napthens in September 2015 as a trainee solicitor having completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP in Manchester and the LLB at Lancaster University prior to that. As a trainee, Farhan gained experience in several practice areas and as such, has vital grounding in the basics of Corporate & Commercial and Construction & Engineering work.

Farhan speaks fluent Gujarati and Urdu.

What aspect of your job do you find most rewarding?
Lawyers usually get involved at the most crucial of times, whether that’s the purchase of exciting new premises or dealing with an unfortunate dispute for example, and it is this critical aspect of the work which I find most rewarding.

If you had an alternative career – what would be your fantasy job?
Formula 1 team engineer- preferably with McLaren!
