Senior Associate SolicitorElanor Findlay is a senior associate solicitor within in the family team, based in the firm's office at Preston.
Elanor provides advice around the negotiation and resolution of finances upon divorce, and is highly experienced in cases involving the rural and farming communities.
She advises parents, blended families and special guardians on areas including arrangements for children, and step-parent adoption.
Elanor also prepares and advises upon pre and post nuptial settlements.
Experience
Elanor has 20 years’ experience in family law in the north west.
Recent cases include:
- Advised a non-celebrity spouse of a celebrity regarding divorce, arrangements for the children and secured a fair financial. Then preserved the financial settlement by way of a pre-maritial agreement
- Advised a ‘marrying in’ farmer’s wife upon divorce and financial settlement after a long marriage, involving complex business structures in big farming, partnership agreements, accountancy issues
- Advised a mother in a complex child arrangements case that included allegations of gaslighting of mother by father, sexual abuse of child by father, and parental alienation by mother against father. Both parents made extensive allegations against the other throughout proceedings
- Advised in a financial case of non engagement in the court process of spouse based outside the UK
- Advised the father in an application by the mother for permission to remove the child to live abroad
