Chris is a legal assistant within Napthens’ specialist commercial property litigation unit. Based in Preston, he works closely with property litigation partner David Bailey, assisting him day to day on a broad range of property disputes for clients including commercial landlords and managing agents. An experienced advocate, Chris has worked on a wide variety of cases involving local authorities, large multi national companies and private individuals. He has extensive knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and after a number of years within Napthens’ litigation department, joined the specialist property unit in 2017.
After specialising in litigation for a number of years, Chris joined the commercial property litigation unit in 2017 and now advises clients on commercial property and land disputes and landlord and tenant disputes including rent arrears and disrepair/dilapidations.
Following a career as a financial adviser, Chris trained as a barrister. During the Bar Vocational Course Chris was granted an award for his achievements in civil litigation. He has been a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple since he was called to the Bar in 2009. Chris joined Napthens in 2012 from a large Manchester based practice.
