Andrew Holden is a partner and head of the rural team, and is based in the firm's Blackburn and Kendal offices.

Andrew specialises in land and agricultural property transactions including basic payments and agricultural tenancies, and has dealings with all the leading agricultural banks.

He acts for a broad range of clients on matters that include sales, purchases and remortgage transactions at all levels, from thousands of pounds to multi million pound transactions. Andrew also specialises in sales by auction and tender and renewable energy projects.

Andrew plays a key role in delivery of the FarmFuture by Napthens, a bespoke service for rural clients. He speaks regularly to farmers groups and seminars on rural matters and has established and runs a rural professionals network in both Lancashire and Cumbria.

Andrew is recognised by The Legal 500 as a ‘leading individual’ in agriculture and estates.

Andrew handles a wide range of property and business matters including land and property sales and purchases, granting or surrender of easements, development clawback and option agreements, partnership agreements and dissolutions and agricultural tenancy matters.

He has also been dealing with various renewable energy schemes for several years for both the landowner and also for the developer.
