Professional Support Lawyer – Employment

Full Time or Part Time

We are looking for a Professional Support Lawyer to provide support to the Employment Team by keeping them and their clients up to date with latest legislative changes and updating all policies, procedures and template documents in line with those changes. A key resource for the team, this role will ensure they are at the cutting edge of all legal advice and developments pertaining to employment, HR and health and safety.  We are flexible on location for this role and it can be based from any of our 6 offices and we would also consider home working.

Your role will include: –

  • Assisting with management of the know how database, creating and maintaining precedents, drafting updating and managing documents and regularly updating the team together with producing guidance notes, with a focus on employment, HR and Health and Safety legislation
  • Providing relevant updates to the Employment team in relation to all practice areas;
  • Dealing with fee earner enquiries: answering queries relating to maintained information, new areas of law, and complex areas of law or specialisms.
  • Assisting in the research, preparation and presentation of seminars and training workshops
  • Conducting research on specific areas of law, including new laws and practice, directing fee earners to appropriate sources, and creating white papers
  • Co-ordinating and rolling out the departmental education and training programme, ensuring the appropriate training and development of fee earners within the department and across complimentary departmental teams. Additionally dealing with external training, building up relationships with speakers and working with the team to identify areas of law that require topical training programme
  • Working with the content and marketing team members on producing newsletters for clients, arranging or assisting in marketing events, arranging client seminars

You will have:-

  • Worked in a role at this level previously or an Employment Lawyer
  • Excellent organisational skills and a committed attitude
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Keen interest in technology enabled solutions
  • An ability to communicate clearly and accurately to different 3rd parties
  • An eye for detail
  • Confidence in delivering training/presentations
