Commercial Litigation – Full time

We are looking for an ambitious trainee solicitor/newly qualified lawyer to begin their journey as a Litigator with our team.  If you are due to qualify between now and September 2022 and have a desire to become a Commercial Litigator, this role might be exactly what you are looking for!  We will also accept applications from those with up to 2 years PQE, having worked within a Litigation Department since qualifying.

Your role will include:-

  • Working alongside the team to assist on their cases, together with being responsible for running your own caseload and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring the retention of good clients through appropriate client management and matter completion.
  • Understanding the significance of individual actions in the context of the objectives of the transaction/strategy for a case.
  • Use experience to check information provided and to form judgements about possible courses of action and ways forward.
  • Collaborative and inquisitive and willingness to develop knowledge of new legal areas.
  • Supporting key events to secure new clients, cross refer opportunities and further increase the team’s strong reputation.
  • Ensuring clients receive accurate, up-to-date legal advice that takes account of their circumstances.
  • Understand clearly the strategy for the case/transaction and alternative approaches to deliver it within a vision of what may be possible.
  • Building relationships both internally and externally to raise your own profile – we believe the key to our success is to build strong relationships within our teams and with our clients
