Family Lawyer – 5+PQE, Preston
Full Time – Preston
We are looking for Family Lawyer to work alongside the team, dealing with our clients in a clear and concise manner, running a caseload working to individual and team targets to help the overall team achieve its objectives, whilst working on individual objectives to develop within the team.

Your role will include: –
- Handling and managing your own caseload of a range of family matters including but not limited to Divorce, financial applications, and private children law matters for our clients
- Conducting your own advocacy on your cases, subject to experience
- Maintaining and developing specialist knowledge expertise and skills
- Complying with all training/professional development requirements, and maintaining accurate records of all training/professional development undertaken to service our clients
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of and complying with the Solicitors Accounts and Solicitors Practice Rules, and all revisions thereto
- Developing new client relationships and ensuring excellent standards are maintained when servicing our clients
- Ensuring the retention of good clients through appropriate client management and matter completion
- Supporting key office led and departmental events to secure new clients, cross refer opportunities and further increase the team’s strong reputation
- Ensuring clients receive the best commercial legal advice tailored to their circumstances
- Achieving personal utilisation and realisation targets
- Building relationships both internally and externally throughout the business and department to raise your own profile – we believe the key to our success is to build strong relationships within our teams and with our clients
You will have:-
- 5+ years PQE or experience of handling a caseload at this level
- Outstanding client care skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Outstanding organisational, written and IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team both inside and outside of your department
- Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the Solicitors Code of Conduct in respect of referrals and of the Money Laundering Regulations
- Case management system experience would be an advantage for Proclaim
