Christmas is coming…

Napthens - November 13th 2014

It seems almost acceptable to mention Christmas now that we are in November, so this is a brief reminder to make sure you have your house in order.

The festive period brings with it a number of busy evenings and opportunities to maximise takings, but with Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve both falling on a Wednesday, remember to check that your premises licence covers you for the times that you need to trade, either through the standard timings or the non-standard timings.

If you wish to trade past the hours on your premises licence then you will need to lodge Temporary Event Notices (TENs) with the Council, Police and Environmental Health in good time.  For a standard TEN, you need to submit with at least 10 working notice and for a short notice TEN (which should be avoided if at all possible), at least 5.
