Cask Ale Week

Napthens - September 28th 2011

A reminder to all that Cask Ale Week is coming up (1st to 9th October).

Cask Ale week is an event that has grown in stature over recent years and which should be a big event in the calendar of any cask ale supplier or drinker. It has proved to be a useful tool for increasing footfall and driving sales for publicans as well as for raising awareness of a great product that is enjoying significant growth.

This year the theme is "Try Before You Buy", which it is hoped will encourage people to try new flavours and styles of ale. 7,500 Cask Marque Accredited Pubs will reportedly be involved in the promotion. If you would like any further information then please feel free to contact us, or go to www.caskaleweek.co.uk where there is information for both publicans and consumers.

For those of you with an interest in cask ale, the Great Northern Beer Festival is also fast approaching (27th - 29th October inclusive). It is a great event for showcasing cask ales with around 250 cask ales being on offer over the course of the festival. It will be held at the Ramada Piccadily Hotel in Manchester and more details can be found at SIBA.
