Simon is the firm's Chief Operating Officer and a member of Napthens' Executive Board which involves him in strategic planning, management and business development. He has overall responsibility for the operational departments of HR, IT and Risk & Compliance.
A member of the Board for a number of years, Simon previously headed up the Private Client division and has played a key role in the development of the firm’s IT and online systems.
Simon's specialism is in residential property and until late 2011 he held a dual role as head of the private client division and head of residential property. As his executive role increased, he stepped back from the hands-on management of the conveyancing team but still remains involved in the residential property business community and is recognised for his expertise on residential property matters.
Simon hails from Formby, near Liverpool, although he studied law at the University of Leicester and then the College of Law in Chester. He qualified as a solicitor in 1995, spending the first 5 years of his career at Brighouses in Southport, a specialist private client firm. In 1999 became a partner at Wallwork & Company (who merged with Napthens in 2007).

Tom Cruise (obviously!) although I think I’m taller than him!
If you had an alternative career – what would be your fantasy job?
Easy to answer…..I’d be playing centre midfield for Liverpool and wearing the armband!
