Rebecca is an Associate Solicitor in the employment team. She has experience acting for a range of clients in respect of HR and Tribunal matters. Rebecca works with businesses on a variety of legal issues providing day to day employment law advice and guidance on disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancy and TUPE situations and also in respect of claims such as unfair dismissal and discrimination. She also provides advice regarding settlement agreements.
Rebecca has experience in litigation in the Employment Tribunal in particular in bringing and defending claims of unfair dismissal, discrimination, harassment and victimisation. Having previously advised employees on disciplinary, grievance and Tribunal matters, Rebecca understands the types of legal dispute which could be raised against an employer. Working in-house in her previous role has allowed Rebecca to appreciate how a business operates internally and enables her to adopt a pragmatic approach.
Rebecca joined Napthens in January 2019 after being the sole in-house Employment Counsel at Speed Medical Examination Services Limited where she worked closely with the HR team, Senior Managers and Directors across the group. She undertook her law degree at the University of Hull, studied the LPC at BBP University in Manchester and gained a Master’s Degree in Business and Law in 2018.
