Neil is a senior health and safety consultant at Napthens Health and Safety, reporting into the Head of health and Safety, Neil is responsible for the delivery of health and safety consultancy services and training, developing the framework for technical health and safety competence development and governance within the health and safety consultant team.  Working with new clients and attending potential new client meetings in order to establish health and safety service requirements and to advise on the services offered by Napthens Health and Safety.


Neil has experience in broad range of sectors including outdoor adventurous activities, educational travel, residential outdoor activity centres and more recently construction.  Neil is skilled in hotel auditing and inspection, developing and implementing educational travel safety management systems, developing and implementing health and safety policies, preparing risk assessments and digitalisation of client user interfaces, safety auditing and inspection processes.


Neil joined Napthens Health and Safety in September 2021.  He has spent the past 16 years working in health and safety manager and advisor roles in the construction industry and for an education tour operator.  Neil is also a qualified rock-climbing instructor, summer mountain leader and mountain bike instructor.

How do you like to relax out of work?

Amateur competitive cyclist, specialising in the time trial discipline.  Also enjoy walking in the mountains and camping with my family.

What is your proudest achievement?

Cycling up Mont Ventoux from all three sides in a day (Cingles du Mont-Ventoux) and cycling Lands’ End to John O’Groats in 7 days
