Lorna is an experienced employment solicitor based in our Liverpool office. Providing realistic and solutions-focused advice, Lorna primarily advises businesses of all sizes on employee issues. The work she does spans the whole life cycle of the employment relationship from recruitment through to termination. On the other side, she has acted for a number of employees in successfully negotiating high value settlement agreements. Lorna is recommended by legal industry ‘bible’ Legal 500.
Lorna’s expertise includes acting for businesses in defending claims brought by employees in the Employment Tribunal including those involving sensitive and complex issues. She also has in depth knowledge of advising businesses on redundancies and restructures and she is adept at dealing with the employee issues which arise when buying or selling a business.
Lorna has acted for a wide variety of clients including those in the leisure, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, legal and education sectors. She is a regular speaker at training events and has created and delivered bespoke training packages for clients.
Lorna joined Napthens in 2018, returning to Liverpool, her home city. She trained at DWF LLP in Liverpool where she qualified in 2007 and worked for 9 years until she moved to Kuit Steinart Levy LLP for promotion and to broaden her experience.
