Ellie is a trainee solicitor based in the firm’s Preston office. She is currently undertaking a seat in the Commercial Property Team.

Ellie obtained her law degree from Newcastle University before joining Leigh Day Solicitors in Manchester as an Industrial Disease Paralegal. Alongside working full-time, she completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and a master’s degree in law at The University of Law, concluding her studies in July 2026. She is due to graduate in November 2026.

Throughout her studies, Ellie undertook several legal internships, including a five-month placement with Legacare in Newcastle upon Tyne. There, she worked directly with clients, conducted legal research, and drafted wills and lasting powers of attorney.

Prior to joining Napthens, Ellie gained experience working on high-value multi-track civil litigation cases involving asbestos-related illnesses, including mesothelioma, asbestosis, lung cancer and silicosis. She worked closely with senior solicitors and regularly communicated with clients and other stakeholders, often supporting individuals through complex and sensitive matters.
