The head of the Rural team at North West firm Napthens solicitors has been named one of the region’s top lawyers.
Andrew Holden won the Young ’Un in Law title at the Young ’Un Awards 2016 held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
The awards, now in their second year, are run by Lancashire Business View magazine and are designed to showcase those aged 36 and below and the businesses they work for.
Judges chose Andrew over the three other lawyers shortlisted for his ‘plain speaking and passionate’ approach, saying he ‘thrives on innovation, care about his clients and the customer is at the heart of everything he does.’
He was also described as a market shaper with unparalleled knowledge of the rural and farming sector.
Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, said: “The response we’ve had to the Young ‘Uns Awards 2016 has been terrific and it’s great to see business owners and young employees alike being nominated across the 11 categories.
“Our judges had a difficult job on their hands – congratulations to all of the winners, and finalists.”
Napthens is one of the few NFU panel firms in the region, and operates offices in locations including Kendal and Penrith.
Meanwhile, the firm’s Corporate team was honoured for its part in some of the region’s top deals.
Three of the deals shortlisted for the sub £10million Deal of the Year category at the North West Deal Makers Awards involved the Napthens team, including the winning deal which saw the department advise Seneca Partners on its acquisition of food packaging business Foodpack.
