Napthens names new head of Cumbria

Jamie Allison, the firm’s head of Real Estate, will take over from James Todhunter, who joined the firm two years ago when its Kendal office opened and will now take up a number of consultancy roles advising small businesses on funding and business development.

Jamie Allison has a network of business connections in the county and has been working closely with the Cumbria teams to develop Napthens’ profile in the region.

Since Napthens established its presence in Cumbria, the firm has continued to grow and is now particularly known for its strength in property, rural and litigation, as well as private client services including wills and estate planning.

Jamie said: “This success has been partly due to Napthens’ expertise in sectors such as leisure and tourism, residential and commercial development and rural business – a perfect fit for the Cumbrian marketplace.

“As demand continues to grow, Napthens’ ongoing development and plans for further growth have created new opportunities and we are actively recruiting lawyers across a number of our services including commercial property, conveyancing, rural and litigation.”

Shru Morris, CEO of Napthens, said: “Jamie is an obvious fit to lead the next stage of our development in Cumbria.

“Over the last two years he has played a major role in the firm’s growth in the area, helping to firmly establish us as part of the county’s business community. I look forward to working with Jamie as he continues this hard work.”
