Napthens highlighted in latest Legal 500

North West law firm Napthens has been praised by the legal industry ‘bible’ the Legal 500.

A number of the firm’s departments, including Corporate, Leisure & Licensing, Litigation and Rural have been selected for praise both for the teams and for individual experts.

The Corporate team was selected as a Top Tier firm in the ‘Elsewhere in the North West’ region, with consultant Gareth McIntegart and Keith Melling, partner and head of the firm’s Commercial division singled out as ‘leading individuals.’

Other standout individuals include team head Richard Robinson and ‘outstanding’ Robert Dobson.

The team was praised for its ‘unfaltering attention to detail combined with its ability and willingness to explain in plain English.’

The firm’s ‘top-quality’ Litigation team remains a top tier service, praised for its ‘in-depth expertise’, led by Iain Wharton.

Another key individual of the ‘highly regarded’ department is Robert Richards, who is praised for his ‘fantastic attention to detail’.

Meanwhile, the Leisure & Licensing team was recognised for the quality of its work and described as a ‘very proactive and professional team, with head of department Malcolm Ireland ‘very quick at grasping key issues.’

Napthens’ Rural team, one of the few NFU panel firms in the region, is also listed in the top tier. Led by the ‘extremely knowledgeable’ Andrew Holden, the team is highlighted as ‘one of the strongest agricultural teams in the region.’

John Whittingslow, CEO of Napthens, said: “The Legal 500 is a useful guide to where law firms stand in the eyes of their clients as well as fellow professionals, and our teams should be rightfully proud of their high placing in this year’s guide.

“We’ve long said that there is no need to turn to a large city firm for a high standard of service, and seeing so many of our individuals and teams highlighted for the quality of their work is more proof of this.”
