Napthens appointed to advise on major property deal

Lancashire law firm Napthens has been appointed to advise on a major property development in the North East of England.
A team from Napthens’ Commercial Property and Construction team is advising its client English Holdings Group on the development of a shopping centre in Immingham, North East Lincolnshire, which will include the construction of a new 45,000 sq ft store for supermarket giant Tesco.

The Kennedy Way Shopping Centre will be partly demolished and the surrounding location regenerated before becoming home to the new £10m Tesco supermarket expected to create 200 jobs.

The Napthens team, led by head of Commercial Property, Martin Beardsworth, and head of Construction Tricia Morrison, has advised on the property and construction aspects of the development, along with some financial elements with assistance from the Napthens re-finance team.

Martin Beardsworth said: “This is a great project to be involved with, and demonstrates that our knowledge and expertise are in demand by major clients across the UK.”
