Napthens advises on tour operator deal

The Corporate team at Napthens solicitors has advised as a Blackpool educational travel brand has expanded with the acquisition of part of a Surrey-based business.

Bispham-based Next Generation Travel has acquired two divisions of the Wallington-based Newmarket Group – its Study Experiences, and Sport Experiences brands – for an undisclosed sum.

Next Generation Travel, led by managing director Deborah Beckett, operates the UK’s fastest-growing educational travel brands, offering immersive tours to young people aged 10-21.

The brands include the well-known Remembrance Travel, FHT Group Tours and Anglia Tours, which offer educational trips including battlefield and historical tours of Europe, and trips taking in law and politics and art & design sites across the world.

Newmarket Group offers holidays and experiences by air, coach and rail, ocean and river as well as events and concerts.

A team from Napthens solicitors led by Keith Melling, head of the Corporate department, and including Corporate solicitors Natalie Lewis and Claire Hynes, advised Next Generation Travel.

A team from Osborne Clarke solicitors led by Tim Hewens advised Newmarket Group.
