Napthens advises as Wrkspace expands with Bolton acquisition

The company behind three serviced office spaces in Preston has expanded with the acquisition of a landmark Bolton property.

Wrkspace currently operates three sites in Preston – The Watermark, Ribbleton Lane, Old Docks House, Watery Lane, and Preston Enterprise Centre, Salter Street.

Now the business, run by owner Altaf Ali, has acquired the well-known Hamill House on Chorley New Road in Bolton.

Close to Queen’s Park and Bolton School, and a short distance from the M61, the 7,000 sq ft Hamill House includes 25 office suites, and various facilities including reception services, communal kitchens and onsite parking.

The property, which has housed service offices for more than ten years, will have its décor and facilities ‘freshened up’ to bring it in line with the company’s other properties.

Wrkspace was advised on the acquisition by Marc Appleton, Commercial Property Partner at regional law firm Napthens.

He said: “It’s been great to see the Wrkspace brand go from strength to strength, and continue to attract quality tenants into its properties.”

Altaf Ali added: “This is the second acquisition for us in less than a year, and we are continually looking round for other properties which fit our brand.

“Hamill House was ideal – the property is in a great location, has some strong businesses as tenants already and will be a good investment for our business.”
