We’re delighted to announce that Janet Bateson has joined Napthens’ Family Law team as Legal Director.
A new headcount to a growing team, Janet brings a wealth of expertise in finance issues across family and divorce law, and will specialise with Napthens in divorce and pre-nuptial agreements, as well as wider finance-related and children cases.
Janet will be based in Napthens’ Blackburn office, covering the East Lancashire region as well as spending time at Napthens’ Kendal office to cover Cumbria and the Lake District. That being said, Napthens’ family and divorce clients are based all over England and Wales and we work flexibly to meet our clients’ needs in all regions.
The team is excited to bring in the depth of experience that Janet brings in relation to the full breadth of family related issues.
This work includes, relocation cases, lump settlements, extendable terms maintenance orders and even representing partners of professional sportspeople in financial claims.
A member of Resolution, the community group of legal professionals who successfully campaigned for no-fault divorce, Janet clearly enjoys forming close working relationships with her clients, achieving positive outcomes in what can be challenging circumstances. This is a superb culture fit for Napthens.
