The Corporate team at Napthens solicitors is celebrating after three deals the department was involved in were shortlisted for a major award – including the transaction which would go on to win the category.
The Insider North West Dealmakers Awards was held recently to celebrate the achievements of the region’s top merger and acquisition professionals.
Among the awards is the sub £10million Deal of the Year category, which featured three transactions in which experts from Napthens played an advisory role.
These were the disposal of Northwest Community Services (NWCS) to Mediline, the investment into Foodpack by Seneca Partners, and the buy-in management buy-out of Euxton Group.
Ultimately the Seneca deal would go on to win the category, with the disposal of NWCS highly commended.
Richard Robinson, head of Corporate, said: “We’re very proud to see so many of the transactions in which we have worked on be recognised at these prestigious awards.
“It is a great reflection of the quality of transaction which we continue to be involved in and underlines our strength in depth as an increasingly prominent player in the North West market where we consistently punch above our weight against some of the biggest law firms in the country.”
Meanwhile, the firm’s head of Rural has also scooped an award – Andrew Holden was named the top ‘Young ‘Un’ in the local legal sector at the Young ‘Uns 2016 awards operated by Lancashire Business View Magazine.
