The team from the regional law firm was one of 15 local companies going head-to-head to raise funds for the good cause.
Businesses entering the challenge were given £50 and challenged to raise as much money as possible between April and September through a range of charity events such as dress-down days and bake sales.
In total the businesses raised more than £30,000 for the charity, which provides care for local people coping with a life-limiting illness.
Napthens staff raised a grand total of £1,135 and were highly commended at a special awards evening which took place recently.
The law firm’s East Lancashire office picked the hospice for its chosen charity for 2017/18.
Oliver McCann, partner and head of Napthens East Lancashire office, said: “This was a fantastic challenge for a great cause, and we’re really proud of all our staff who took part and helped us raise this amount in a short space of time.
“Each year each of Napthens’ offices supports a local charity, and in raising more than £1,000 in six months, our East Lancashire team – around 50 people – has already beaten its previous annual total.
“Our partners’ car wash – which saw senior staff from Napthens rolling up their sleeves for the hospice – was particularly popular and was mentioned throughout the awards evening.”
The overall winner of the challenge was Blackburn-based Alan Price Automobile Services, raising more than £10,000.
Jennifer Quinn, corporate fundraiser at the East Lancashire Hospice, said: “We are very grateful to all the team at Napthens for their support throughout the challenge and were particularly impressed with the car washing.
“They were given a highly commended award in the Sharing and Caring category based on the car washing and also the huge cake sale that they did in the office at the end of the challenge.
“It has been an absolute pleasure working with the team at Napthens and from everyone here at the East Lancashire Hospice, a big thank you for all your efforts.”
