Napthens Supports Yogalina Studios Oxford With New Lease Agreement

Napthens recently supported Yogalina Studios Oxford on the completion of a lease for new premises. We took pride in supporting the business in its ambition to open a dedicated yoga and wellness space in the heart of Oxford. This was a notable win for Yogalina and Napthens given the deal centred around a university building, requiring a high level of legal and commercial property expertise.
The transaction was led by Napthen’s Preston-based Commercial Property Law team, who worked closely with founder Alina Boyett (formerly Skuba) throughout the leasing process, providing advice and legal support on Yogalina’s new commercial property acquisition.
Alina has previously received national media coverage for her humanitarian work supporting those affected by the war in Ukraine, including fundraising initiatives and delivering aid to the Ukrainian border. Alongside these efforts, she has continued to develop Yogalina Studios Oxford, creating a wellbeing-focused business centred on health, movement and community.

Securing the new premises marks an important step in the growth of the business, providing a permanent base for classes, wellness activities and future expansion.
Commercial property solicitor Nathan Horne-Peddie advised on the lease transaction, helping to ensure the legal process progressed efficiently and allowing the business to move forward with confidence.
Commenting on the support she received, Alina said:
Securing this space for Yogalina Studios Oxford is an important milestone for me, and I’m very grateful for the support I received from Nathan and the Commercial Property team at Napthens. They were professional, efficient and consistently responsive, which made the whole process feel much less daunting. I felt confident in their expertise throughout, and their guidance allowed me to focus on growing my business and bringing my vision to life.
Nathan Horne-Peddie, Associate Solicitor for Napthens Commercial Property team added:
We’re pleased to have supported Alina on this lease transaction and to see Yogalina Studios Oxford reach this stage of its development. Securing premises in locations where demand is high can involve a range of legal and commercial considerations, so obtaining advice early in the process can help businesses make informed decisions and manage risk effectively.
When taking on commercial premises, particularly in sought-after locations, businesses should consider a number of factors including lease terms, permitted use, repair obligations, service charges and any future plans for growth. Early legal advice can help identify potential issues and support a smoother transaction.
We wish Alina and the team at Yogalina Studios Oxford every success as they begin the next chapter of the business.
