Growing demand brings growth to Napthens

The Employment team at Napthens solicitors has appointed solicitor Emma Newbould to meet growing demand from clients in East Lancashire.

Emma joins Napthens’ Blackburn office from Lancashire law firm Forbes, and will advise clients on issues ranging from sickness absence and performance management to employment tribunal proceedings.

She has particular experience in dealing with discrimination, harassment and victimisation employment tribunal cases, and, as well as acting for many local private sector clients, has represented a number of local authority and public sector clients.

With her appointment the Employment team at Napthens now includes eight solicitors.

Emma, who grew up in the Ribble Valley and now lives in Great Harwood, said: “The Employment team at Napthens has gone from strength to strength over recent years and I Iook forward to contributing towards its future success.”

Oliver McCann, Employment partner at Napthens’ Blackburn office, added: “Demand for our services has been increasing for some time, in particular thanks to the popularity of our HR3 service, a fixed-cost annual retainer scheme for employment law services which can be tailored to the size and needs of a business.

“Emma’s appointment is an important commitment to ensuring we have the resources available to continue to deliver excellent customer service to the business community in East Lancashire.”
