Involved in the Community

Everyone at Napthens is encouraged to get involved wherever possible in activities within local communities. This takes the form of supporting business groups and local networking, but also active participation in community and charitable causes.

Through staff volunteers Napthens provides support for a chosen charity through a year-long programme of events. In the past few years Napthens has supported and raised money for charities including Rosemere Cancer Trust, Derian House children’s hospice, Help a Local Child, Breast Cancer Research and Easterleigh Animal Sanctuary.

Last year and for 2016/17 our staff at our head office in Preston and our office in Southport have chosen North West Air Ambulance as their charity for the year.

Our Blackburn office is a proactive supporter of Blackburn Youth Zone, and will continue to support them in the upcoming year. The Youth Zone is ‘a 21st century youth hub for young people aged 8 to 18 years old, aiming to irrevocably change the prospects offered to young people in the area’.

Our Blackpool & Fylde office is raising money for Aspired Futures, a charity which provides long-term, life-changing therapeutic services for vulnerable children and young people.

Our Cumbria offices are focused on raising funds for the Cumbria Foundation, making a difference to the most disadvantaged people in the local community.  This year sees the start of the Cumbria team’s pledge to raise £25,000 for the Foundation with every individual setting their own personal challenge to raise funds through a variety of activities.
