Summary
Sean is a Partner in Napthens’ commercial litigation team, based in the Preston office. Sean specialises in corporate litigation including shareholder disputes. He also deals with partnership disputes, professional negligence - with particular reference to solicitors and media work including claims relating to defamation, malicious falsehood, trademark infringement and breach of confidence. Sean also deals with litigation relating to the protection and enforcement of all contractual rights and remedies.
Specialisms
Sean has particular experience in shareholder actions, acting on behalf of both majority and minority interests. He also deals with all manner of boardroom wrangles including issues relating to directors’ duties. He is experienced in warranty claims arising our of asset and share sale agreements and completion account issues. He also acts on behalf of clients in relation to intellectual property and reputational issues of a personal or professional nature and for clients who have been let down by their former professional advisers with reference particularly, but not exclusively, to solicitors.
Background
Sean was admitted as a solicitor in 1990. He joined Napthens in 2010 having previously been a partner at Ricksons, Cobbetts and DWF. Born and brought up in Blackpool, he lived and worked in Manchester for 20 years before relocating back to the Fylde Coast. He now lives in Poulton le Fylde with his young family.
