Summary
Robert is a partner in Napthens’ litigation department, based at the Blackpool office. He advises on a range of civil and commercial litigation work including disputes relating to landlord and tenant (both commercial and residential), land, probate, contracts and debt recovery.
Specialisms
Robert has a particular interest and expertise in land disputes and landlord and tenant work. His experience in these areas includes proceedings relating to dilapidation disputes, forfeiture of leases, possession claims, easements and covenants as well as disputes before the Adjudicator to the Land Registry and in the Lands Tribunal. Robert is a regular guest speaker at the Fylde Coast Landlords’ Forum on residential landlord and tenant issues.
Background
Originally from North Wales but now living near Chorley, Robert studied law at Sheffield Hallam University before going on to qualify as a non-practising barrister at Manchester Metropolitan University. After his professional exams Robert worked for a North Wales based firm where he cross-qualified as a solicitor. Robert joined Cuddy Woods and Cochrane in 2004 and then Napthens as part of the merger in 2007. Robert was made a partner in 2010.
