Summary
Gareth is solicitor in the commercial property team based at Napthens’ Blackpool office. He handles a wide range of commercial property matters which include the acquisition and sale of commercial properties, commercial leases, secured lending, and the negotiation and drafting of other property related agreements. Gareth's clients range from large companies and national operators to private individuals and sole traders.
Specialisms
In addition to his experience in all manner of general commercial property transactions, Gareth has specific experience in drafting more specialist property documentation such as overage agreements, wayleaves and easements. Gareth also deals with collective enfranchisement, management company issues and bridging transactions.
He has a particular interest in unregistered land, title defects and the planning issues faced by clients when seeking to develop both commercial and residential land.
Background
Born and bred on the Fylde Coast, Gareth attended Arnold School before taking an Engineering degree (and subsequently a Masters of Science degree) at the University of Liverpool. In addition to spending many years running a successful design business, Gareth attended the University of Leeds in 2004 and studied for their Senior Status LLM Law degree before completing his academic training at the College of Law in York. He then worked at Harrowells Solicitors in York before returning to the Fylde Cost in 2010 to join Napthens.
