Summary
Charlotte’s role is predominantly arranging Lasting Powers of Attorney and the drafting of wills for the reduction of tax and the transfer of family wealth to the next generation. Charlotte also represents clients who have lost mental capacity through accident or illness, undertaking Court of Protection applications, advising on care home funding and the creation of Trusts for personal injury settlements.
Specialisms
Charlotte specialises in looking after the personal affairs of individual clients over a long term period. She enjoys working with individuals who may have complex family arrangements and/or significant personal wealth.
Working with a number of care home organisations, she represents clients who have lost mental capacity, undertaking Court of Protection applications and the creation of Trusts for compensation monies. Charlotte also provides talks and advice to care organisations and GP practices.
Background
Charlotte delayed entering the world of work to spend time travelling around Europe and has lived in Vienna and New Zealand. Upon her return she attended the University of Central Lancashire to complete her Common Professional Exam and Legal Practice Certificate. Charlotte was awarded the University’s Meritorius Award for attaining the highest marks for her year in the Legal Exams. Charlotte joined Napthens as a trainee in 2005 and upon qualification became part of the Private Client team.
