Susan first worked in a solicitors' office as a junior secretary in April 1979 for a newly qualified solicitor practising Conveyancing, matrimonial, litigation, probate and Wills. This was followed by employment with Lester and Edwards, a long established firm in Blackpool until June 1986 when she undertook her first fee earner post at Blackhurst’s in Poulton Le Fylde.
Following a career break Susan returned to work in 1995 initially as secretary, then as an assistant progressing to some fee earning and resumed fee earning full time with Easthams (now Easthams Solicitors Limited) in Blackpool in 2001.
During her career break, Susan began her studies with the Institute of Legal Executives at the Blackpool & Fylde College of Technology and Art. She completed her studies in 1998 and obtained Fellowship status in May 2004.
Susan has a large family and close circle of friends who keep her busy. Her spare time is taken up in her garden and with her sons’ football and other sporting activities. She also has a dog who ensures she takes at least some exercise most days!
