Malcolm Ireland - Head of Licensing Department
Malcolm is the head of Napthens' Licensing Department.
He has extensive experience in all areas of the Licensing Act 2003, having acted for a wide variety of clients with a wide variety of needs. He has advised upon and submitted a range of applications under the Act, participated in both mediation and negotiation meetings and appeared before sub-Committees all over the Country to advocate on behalf of clients at contested hearings. Malcolm also succesfully dealt with a judicial review in 2008 which resulted in the High Court delivering what is believed to be the the first authority of its kind under the Licensing Act.
Malcolm studied law at the University of Central Lancashire and shortly afterwards obtained a postgraduate diploma in law from the same University. He joined Roscoes as a Trainee Solicitor and subsequently Napthens following the merger in 2006.
In his spare time he enjoys both watching and playing football, running and travelling.
