David qualified in 1971 and initially spent much of his time as an advocate in Magistrates and County Courts across the North-West. In 1980 he first undertook personal injury work for the TGWU, specialising in accidents at work, disease cases, and road traffic accidents, whilst continuing to act in personal injury litigation from other sources.
He is Head of the firm's TGWU Department, a member of The Law Society Specialist Personal Injury Panel, and a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
David was educated at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School and graduated from the University of Leeds. He is married with three daughters and his interests include literature, wildlife, and gardening. David is Honorary Solicitor to Read Cricket Club, played football competitively into his forties, was Chairman of Read United FC for eighteen years, and now confines his interest to following the fortunes of Burnley Football Club.
