LANCASHIRE law firm Napthens is to hand over more than £2,000 raised through staff activities to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
The firm, which has offices in Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool and Chorley, raised money over Christmas with almost £600 through a raffle and donating £375 instead of sending out Christmas cards, and will hand over hundreds more raised from donations and other staff activities such as Dress Down Days over the past six months, bringing the total to £2,029.
Napthens chose Rosemere, based at the Rosemere Cancer Centre at Royal Preston Hospital, as its charity last year. Rosemere raises £700,000 a year for cancer research and care.
Napthens will next sponsor the Rosemere family 5k run and sponsored walk in Witton Park, Blackburn, on May 23.
Kay Jackson-Leigh, charity committee member at Napthens’ Preston office, said:
“All our staff are doing a fantastic job supporting the charity, and I would also like to thank the generous clients and visitors to our offices who have also helped.
“Rosemere performs a vital service for the region, and we are continuing to raise funds throughout the year.”
